KABUL, July 4 (Xinhua) -- A total of 47 Afghans graduated from the Air Force Academy and were commissioned to the air force on Sunday, said a statement of the Defense Ministry on Monday.
At a graduation ceremony held on Sunday, all the graduates vowed to serve the nation after receiving certificates, the statement added.
Afghanistan's fledgling air force is reportedly made up of helicopters and some transport and attack planes that have been repaired by the Taliban-run administration over the past few months.
The U.S.-led forces had destroyed all military planes before their departure in late August 2021 from the country. ■
