NEW DELHI, June 30 (Xinhua) -- India reported 18,819 new COVID-19 cases during the past 24 hours, taking the total tally to 43,452,164, showed data from the federal health ministry on Thursday.
The number of active cases in the country crossed the 100,000-mark, with an increase of 4,953 active cases during the past 24 hours, as the total tally reached 104,555, after nearly four months.
Besides, 39 deaths due to the pandemic since Wednesday morning took the total death toll to 525,116.
The daily positivity rate stood at 4.16 percent, while the weekly positivity rate was 3.72 percent, revealed the ministry.
So far, 42,822,493 people have been successfully cured and discharged from hospitals, of whom 13,827 were discharged during the past 24 hours. ■
