ISLAMABAD, June 23 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistani Prime Minister's office has announced humanitarian aid for Afghan earthquake victims.
The relief goods contain blankets, tents and medicine, the office said in a statement on Wednesday.
The aid came on the directions of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif who showed support to the victims on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan.
Over 1,000 people were killed and over 1,500 others injured after the 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan early Wednesday. ■
