YANGON, June 13 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's Anti-Narcotics Task Force has seized over 1.6 billion kyats (about 864,864 U.S. dollars) worth of heroin and stimulant pills in Mandalay region, a police statement said on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, the anti-narcotics agents seized 40.7 kg heroin and 400,000 stimulant tablets from a vehicle in Myitnge town of Mandalay region on June 11, it said.
Police also arrested two suspects in the operation. Further investigations were underway, it added. ■
