FARAH, Afghanistan, June 8 (Xinhua) -- A bus collided head-on with a truck in Afghanistan's western province of Farah, injuring 10 people, a provincial police spokesman said on Wednesday.
"The incident occurred in Shiwan locality of Bala Buluk district on Tuesday evening. The injured, including four children, were rushed to a district hospital," spokesman Harif Adil told Xinhua.
The provincial traffic police have launched an investigation into the incident, according to the source.
Road accidents are frequent in the Asian country mainly due to poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving. ■
