Myanmar's anti-narcotics task force seizes 1 mln stimulant pills

YANGON, June 6 (Xinhua) -- A combined team of anti-narcotics task force has seized 1 million stimulant tablets in Yangon, worth 1 billion kyats (540,540 U.S. dollars), according to a police statement on Monday.

Following a tip-off, the police raided a house located in Bayintnaung 10th street of Thingangyun township in Yangon on June 2 and confiscated 1 million stimulant pills worth 1 billion kyats (540,540 U.S. dollars).

According to further investigation, the anti-narcotics agents arrested one female suspect at a house in Aungzeya 8th street in Thingangyun township on the same afternoon, the statement said.

The suspect was charged under the country's law.
