YANGON, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- The number of COVID-19 infections in Myanmar has risen to 556,256 with 2,692 new cases reported on Thursday, according to a release from the Ministry of Health.
A daily positivity rate of 8.46 percent was recorded after 31,824 lab samples have been tested in the past 24 hours.
The country's death toll has reached 19,319 after one more death was registered on Thursday, the release said.
A total of 520,804 patients have been discharged from hospitals and over 6.8 million samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the country so far. ■
