YANGON, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar reported 83 new COVID-19 infections in the past 24 hours, bringing the country's tally to 533,815 on Friday, according to a release from the Ministry of Health.
The number of death toll has increased to 19,308 with one more death reported on Friday, the release said.
A total of 511,936 patients have been discharged from hospitals and over 6.25 million samples have been tested for COVID-19 so far.
Myanmar detected its first two COVID-19 positive cases in March 2020. ■
