YANGON, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar reported 196 new COVID-19 infections with a daily positivity rate of 1.81 percent in the past 24 hours, according to a release from the Ministry of Health on Wednesday.
The total number of COVID-19 cases has increased to 533,604 and the total death toll has reached 19,306 after one new death was reported, the release said.
A total of 511,630 patients have been discharged from hospitals so far.
Over 17.8 million people have been fully vaccinated as of Tuesday, the ministry's data showed.
Myanmar detected its first two COVID-19 positive cases on March 23, 2020. ■
