RABAT, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Campaigning for Morocco's 2026 parliamentary elections officially began on Thursday, official news agency MAP reported.
The campaign will run until midnight on Sept. 22, the eve of the vote to elect 395 members of the House of Representatives, parliament's lower house.
Political parties and candidates will outline their platforms and court voters during the 13-day campaign period.
Key issues expected to feature in the campaign include employment, purchasing power, healthcare, education and public services.
Under the constitution, Morocco's king appoints the prime minister from the party that wins the most seats, who then forms a government. ■
