Morocco, France sign new agreements at 15th high-level meeting in Rabat

RABAT, July 16 (Xinhua) -- The 15th Morocco-France High-Level Meeting was held here on Thursday, with a dozen agreements signed covering transport, water resources, and electricity interconnection.

During the meeting, Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and his French counterpart Sebastien Lecornu pledged to deepen bilateral cooperation in economy, energy, transport, security, and people-to-people exchanges.

They also exchanged views on regional issues of common concern, including the situation in Africa and security challenges in the Sahel.

The high-level meeting mechanism, resumed for the first time since 2019, is part of the ongoing efforts by Morocco and France to advance their bilateral relations.
