ABIDJAN, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Robert Beugre Mambe has been reappointed as prime minister of Cote d'Ivoire, according to a statement released on Wednesday by the country's presidency.
"The President of the Republic, His Excellency Alassane Ouattara, on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, signed a decree appointing Robert Beugre Mambe as prime Minister. The President of the Republic has asked him to propose a government as soon as possible," said the statement, read by Secretary General of the Presidency Massere Toure.
Mambe previously served as prime minister from 2023 until the government was dissolved earlier this month.
On Jan. 7, Ouattara ended the mandate of Mambe and his cabinet following the submission of their resignations. ■
