TUNIS, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed and four others seriously injured in a traffic accident, which occurred Tuesday in southeast Tunisia's Gabes province, reported the Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP).
According to TAP, the accident occurred early in the morning on national road No. 16 when a shared taxi traveling from Kebili to Gabes collided with a truck transporting vehicles.
Earlier this month, the Tunisian National Road Safety Observatory reported that the total number of road accident fatalities in Tunisia since the start of the year had risen to 449. ■
