Tunisia ready to strengthen cooperative relationship with China: PM

TUNIS, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Tunisia attaches great importance to developing relations with China and is willing to take the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to explore new drivers of bilateral cooperation, Tunisian Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani has said.

Hachani made the remarks during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia Wan Li here Friday, adding that Tunisia stands ready to further promote friendly relations with China to better benefit their people.

Thanking China for providing valuable support and assistance to Tunisia over the years, Hachani praised the traditional friendship between Tunisia and China, expressed willingness to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, and noted that significant results have been achieved in the development of bilateral relations in recent years.

Noting that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Wan said China is willing to seize this opportunity to effectively implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of both countries, enhance political mutual trust, strengthen cooperation in various fields, elevate the bilateral relationship to a higher level, and contribute to building a community with a shared future for mankind.
