NEW YORK, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 jolted 56 km W of Oukaïmedene, Morocco, at 22:11:01 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 18.5 km, was initially determined to be at 31.11 degrees north latitude and 8.44 degrees west longitude. ■
