CAIRO, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Egypt condemned on Tuesday the terrorist attack on a military academy in Somalia's capital Mogadishu, which killed at least 25 soldiers.
In a statement, the Egyptian foreign ministry said Egypt is standing by Somalia in the face of all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism.
Egypt expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government and people of Somalia, wishing a speedy recovery for all the injured, according to the statement.
A suicide bomber from the al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabab militant group wearing an explosive vest blew himself up at a military training academy on Monday near the Somali Ministry of Defense, according to a government soldier who declined to be named. ■
