NAIROBI, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Kenya on Monday launched an online system to enable members of the public to file legal complaints as well as request for reviews of cases pending before the court system.
Noordin Haji, director of Public Prosecutions, told journalists in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, that the system known as Malalamishi System will be accessible through a web portal thereby providing seamless access to justice on a 24-hour basis.
"The digital system will provide real-time reporting because complaints will be assigned a reference number that can be used to track the status of the complaint at any given time," Haji said.
Haji noted that Kenya is implementing the platform in order to inculcate transparency, professionalism, accountability and integrity in the delivery of justice to the public.
He added that the online system is designed to save time spent on the physical filing of complaints through its search and filter features. ■
