Luanda, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Angola's National Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics (INAMET) predicts that temperatures may be below normal during this dry season, which begins Monday throughout the country.

The lowest average minimum temperatures in Angola's central and southern provinces could drop below 10 degrees Celsius between June and August, according to INAMET.

In the country's northern and coastal regions, the low temperatures will range between 12 and 20 degrees Celsius, indicating a colder season than the previous year.

The dry season in Angola officially begins Monday and is expected to last until Aug. 15, marking the beginning of the rainy season. In the recently concluded rainy season, heavy rainfalls resulted in 332 deaths in Angola.
