RABAT, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan King Mohammed VI has appointed Mohammed Berrid as the new inspector general of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), replacing Belkhir El Farouk, said a Royal Palace statement on Saturday.
The king, who is FAR's supreme commander and chief of general staff, awarded El Farouk the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Throne to recognize his distinguished career in the army, the statement added.
