JOHANNESBURG, April 7 (Xinhua) -- The Rand Show 2023, the annual entertainment and shopping extravaganza in South Africa, kicked off on Thursday at the Johannesburg Expo Center.
This year's Rand Show, which runs through April 10, is featuring consumer products including cosmetics, clothes, sneakers, furniture, carpets, smartphones, coffee machines and local food, according to the organizer.
Known for its outdoor displays, this year's expo has also arranged magic shows, local musician performances, helicopter flips and drifting, go-karting, hamley's trains and marching bands for visitors, said Adele Hartdegen, chief executive officer of the Rand Show.
"The Rand Show has grown to be one of the most iconic exhibitions in Johannesburg and positions the city as a vibrant and diverse city," said Laura Vercueil, spokesperson for Johannesburg Tourism. ■
