BRAZZAVILLE, March 23 (Xinhua) -- The government of the Republic of the Congo has approved a bill for the creation of the African center for artificial intelligence, Thierry Moungalla, a spokesperson of the government, announced in Brazzaville, the capital, Thursday.
The project to create the African Center for Research in Artificial Intelligence, which will be implemented by the government, will be carried out in partnership with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, said the spokesperson.
"The ambition is to enable Congolese and African researchers to carry out and disseminate cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence for the socioeconomic transformation of the continent," said Moungalla.
The center will provide support for the training and research of students, within the framework of an elaborate master-doctorate content, in partnership with local and regional universities. ■
