TUNIS, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Tunisia and Algeria signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to support the startups in the two neighboring countries, the Tunisian Ministry of Communication Technologies announced Wednesday.
The MoU was concluded on the sidelines of the First African Conference for startups, which was held on Dec. 5 and 6 in Algiers, capital of Algeria.
The agreement aims at enhancing cooperation between Tunisia and Algeria in the field of startup support, by establishing programs to facilitate the exchange of expertise, networking of business incubators and support structures.
The deal was inked by Tunisian Minister of Communication Technologies Nizar Ben Neji and Algerian Minister of Knowledge Economy and Startups Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid. ■
