ADDIS ABABA, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Ethiopia generated 2.95 billion U.S. dollars in export revenues during the first nine months of the current fiscal year, the country's Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration (MoTRI) disclosed on Friday.

In a press statement, the MoTRI said the export revenues had met 87.6 percent of the original target set for the first nine months of the current Ethiopian Fiscal Year 2021/2022, which started on July 8.

However, the MoTRI statement said the 2.95 billion U.S. dollars in revenues marked an increase of 20.33 percent compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.

The MoTRI disclosed the agricultural sector was the largest earner of export revenues for the East African country, accounting for about 70 percent of revenues, followed by the mining and industrial sectors, each with 15 percent.
