TUNIS, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Tunisia on Monday urged the international community to endorse and consolidate the content of the United Nations references against all forms of racial discrimination.
The appeal was made on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination against Racism on March 21, the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
Tunisia reiterated its commitment to fight racism to defend international peace and security, as well as prevent crimes against humanity, said the statement.
It added that the COVID-19 crisis has reinforced the discrimination, hence, there is a need to redouble efforts at the local and international levels to adopt measures to combat these destructive phenomena. ■
