Austrian chocolate maker Zotter has a chocolate theater in east China's Shanghai, which is almost the same as Zotter's chocolate theater in Bergl, Austria. Both theaters offer visitors chocolate tastings, hands-on chocolate-making experiences, film screenings and exhibitions.
Zotter has participated in every China International Import Expo (CIIE) since the inaugural event in 2018. At this year's ninth CIIE, the company is showcasing more than 200 products at its 800-square-meter booth, including over 50 new products from newly launched collections and seasonal exclusives. Julia Zotter, CEO of the company, said the expo has given her a direct view of China's opening-up policies and favorable business environment, which have made it easier for Zotter to bring its products to the Chinese market. She said the company has benefited from easier market access, efficient procedures and Chinese consumers' openness to imported products.
