LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- SpaceX will attempt to catch both its Super Heavy booster and Starship spacecraft during the upcoming flight test, the company's CEO Elon Musk said Friday.
"If both are successful, it will mark the first time that all parts of an orbital rocket return to Earth intact," Musk wrote on X.
"This is the critical breakthrough needed to make life multiplanetary," he added.
Vice President of Launch at SpaceX Kiko Dontchev said Thursday that the company is targeting Nov. 13 for Starship's 15th flight test.
Starship completed its 14th flight test on Sept. 28, reaching orbit for the first time and deploying 26 next-generation Starlink V3 satellites. The mission was cut short after one of the spacecraft's Raptor engines shut down prematurely during ascent. ■
