OSLO, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Danish police returned to Copenhagen Airport on Friday to investigate a fresh threat to air traffic, a day after officers searched two aircraft at the airport following an emailed threat.
Copenhagen police said in a statement that their initial assessment was that passengers and others at the airport had not been in danger. Police told Danish broadcaster TV 2 that Friday's report appeared to concern a new incident and that they were still gathering information.
TV 2 reported that Thursday's threat was sent directly to the airport by email and targeted two aircraft. Police and military bomb disposal specialists searched both planes and found nothing suspicious.
Copenhagen police said Thursday that it was too early to say whether that day's incident was linked to similar threats against flights elsewhere in Europe. ■
