BUENOS AIRES, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Second-half goals from Lucas Beltran and Angel Correa gave River Plate a 2-0 away win over Aldosivi on the final matchday of Argentina's Clausura regular season.
Beltran opened the scoring from the penalty spot and former Atletico Madrid winger Angel Correa doubled the lead in injury time.
The hosts had less than a third of the total possession and failed to direct a single shot on target.
The result left River, which was already guaranteed a round-of-16 berth, fourth in the 15-team Zone B standings with 26 points while Aldosivi is 14th with 11 points.
In Thursday's only other Argentine top-flight fixture, Gimnasia La Plata edged to a 2-1 home win over Belgrano. ■
