JAKARTA, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's economy grew 5.47 percent year on year in the third quarter of 2026, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) said Thursday.
All sectors recorded positive growth, with manufacturing expanding 5.87 percent, trade 7.14 percent, and construction 6.42 percent, said Moh Edy Mahmud, an official from BPS.
Manufacturing contributed the most to economic growth on the production side, accounting for 1.2 percentage points, supported by growth in food and beverages, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, and basic metals.
On the expenditure side, household consumption rose 5.04 percent, contributing 2.62 percentage points to overall growth, while investment increased 6.06 percent.
Government consumption grew 8.95 percent, the fastest among expenditure components, supported by higher spending on personnel, goods and services. ■
