Data IP protection has been strengthened in accordance with the law, and 24,000 people were prosecuted for crimes infringing data security in fields such as artificial intelligence and e-commerce.
The report showed that procuratorial organs approved the arrest of 36,000 people and initiated public prosecution against 96,000 people to punish IP crimes from January 2021 to September 2026.
Procuratorial organs strengthened foreign-related IP procuratorial work in accordance with the law, prosecuting 9,539 people for foreign-related IP infringement crimes, according to the report.
It said that procuratorial authorities reinforced judicial protection of China's overseas interests, enhanced procuratorial support for domestic enterprises expanding into overseas markets, and helped them respond to IP disputes abroad.
