NEW DELHI, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- One Indian was killed and 13 others rescued after an attack on a commercial vessel off the Oman coast, India's foreign ministry said Tuesday.
The vessel MSV AL JUSUFI, with 14 Indian nationals on board, was attacked on Monday evening near Limah, Oman.
"Our embassy in Oman is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with the Omani authorities for the early repatriation of the rescued Indian nationals and the mortal remains of the deceased," the ministry said in a statement.
New Delhi has condemned the attack and said the continuing incidents of attacks on commercial shipping in the region were deeply concerning.
Several commercial vessels carrying Indian seafarers have come under attack amid escalating tensions in the Middle East. ■
