KATHMANDU, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Nepal recorded a 3.4-percent increase in international tourist arrivals in October year-on-year, driven by a significant rise in visitors from the United States and China, the Nepal Tourism Board said on Monday.
A total of 132,814 foreign tourists visited Nepal in October, up from 128,443 in October 2025, the board said in a report.
The number of American tourists rose to 17,437 in October from 13,286 in the same month last year, while arrivals from China increased to 11,695 from 6,755.
However, the number of Indian visitors dropped to 12,097 from 17,298 over the same period.
The board said the overall growth shows continued international confidence in Nepal as a tourist destination. ■
