BEIJING, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- The Beijing Ducks maintained their unbeaten start to the 2026-27 Chinese Basketball Association regular season with a commanding 114-76 home victory over the Zhejiang Lions on Sunday, improving their league-leading record to 7-0.
Zhejiang was without several key players, including Hu Jinqiu and Sun Minghui. Its younger players kept the contest close early on, but Beijing gradually took control, using its greater depth to build a 12-point halftime lead.
The hosts then outscored Zhejiang by 15 points in the third quarter to put the game beyond reach.
All 12 Beijing players got on the scoresheet, with JaKarr Sampson and Barry Brown, both facing their former team, scoring 20 points apiece. Zhou Qi added 15 points.
Defending champion Shanghai Sharks extended their winning streak to four games with a 100-84 home victory over the Nanjing Monkey Kings.
Nanjing, which rested several key players and fielded an all-Chinese lineup, made a strong start from three-point range to take a 10-point lead after the first quarter.
Shanghai responded by tightening its defense in the second period, while former NBA All-Star D'Angelo Russell hit a series of three-pointers to spark the comeback.
The hosts outscored Nanjing 37-14 in the quarter to take the lead and remained in control for the rest of the game.
All five Shanghai starters scored in double figures. Russell led the way with 22 points, six rebounds and seven assists, while Wang Zhelin contributed 14 points and eight rebounds.
Elsewhere, the Liaoning Flying Leopards defeated the Shenzhen Aviators 91-71 after taking control in the second quarter and building a double-digit advantage.
Zhao Jiwei came off the bench to score 17 points, helping organize Liaoning's offense and create opportunities in transition.
Reigning regular-season MVP He Xining scored a game-high 26 points for Shenzhen but received little support as his team struggled to find other scoring options.
In other games, the Guangzhou Loong Lions beat the Jilin Northeast Tigers 90-79, the Shanxi Loongs defeated the Sichuan Blue Whales 95-89, the Tianjin Pioneers beat the Ningbo Rockets 95-81, and the Zhejiang Golden Bulls edged the Jiangsu Dragons 70-62. ■
