China's exports of clean energy technologies in 2026 are projected to cut about 450 MILLION TONNES of CO₂ -- nearly 2% of total emissions outside the country.
Wind and solar equipment exported from China this year will generate as much electricity each year as roughly 100 coal-fired power plants.
The Global South is leading the decarbonization surge, accounting for 76% of lifetime avoided emissions, as these countries scale up imports of Chinese tech to shift high-carbon grids toward clean power.
