ACCRA, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- The government of Ghana on Friday condemned the killing of a 15-year-old Ghanaian by unknown gunmen in the United States on Thursday, according to a statement.
The statement from the foreign ministry said the Ghanaian government had also urged the relevant authorities in the United States to conduct thorough investigations into the incident and bring those responsible to justice.
Moreover, the statement disclosed that officials from Ghana's Permanent Mission in New York visited Thomas Frimpong, father of Javits Frimpong, the young Ghanaian who was fatally shot in the Bronx, New York.
The teenager, who moved to the United States from Ghana about a year ago, was reportedly shot in the abdomen and later died at a hospital. ■
