BEIJING, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- China supports the continued participation of South Africa in relevant activities under the G20 framework, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Friday.
Guo made the remarks at a regular press briefing in response to a question about South Africa not being invited to the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting to be held in Atlanta, the United States.
The G20 is the premier forum for international economic cooperation and plays an important role in advancing multilateralism, promoting world economic growth and improving global governance, Guo said.
Noting South Africa is a key member of the G20, Guo said China supports South Africa's continued participation in relevant activities under the G20 framework. ■
