BEIJING, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 jolted southeast of Easter Island at 0749 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 36.41 degrees south latitude and 98.05 degrees west longitude. ■
