HANOI, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam has approved a plan to restructure state capital in 21 enterprises from 2026 to 2030, including adjusting state ownership in three major banks to 65 percent, local media VnEconomy reported on Thursday.

Under the plan recently approved by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang, state ownership in Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam and Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam will be reduced from 76.73 percent and 74.8 percent, respectively, to 65 percent, according to the report.

The state stake in the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade will rise from 64.46 percent to 65 percent.

Meanwhile, the state will continue to hold 100 percent ownership in the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development and nine enterprises, including Vietnam National Industry-Energy Group, Vietnam Electricity, Vietnam Coal-Mineral Industry Group and Vietnam Railways Corporation, according to the government portal.

The plan also targets raising state ownership in Vietnam Airlines JSC from 39.29 percent to 86.42 percent, while reducing the state's stakes in Vietnam Maritime Corporation from over 99.46 percent to 65 percent and Vietnam Rubber Group from 96.77 percent to 75 percent. ■
