Pak, 23, ranked fourth in the snatch with 144kg before making 179kg, 183kg and 187kg in the clean and jerk. Türkiye's Muhammed Furkan Ozbek took silver with 330kg, and American Hampton Morris claimed bronze with 328kg.

China's He Yueji won the snatch gold with 148kg but finished sixth overall with 315kg. Ding Hongjie placed fourth with 325kg and took the snatch bronze.

"I need to train harder and improve step by step so I can compete with other opponents in the total," He said. "The weight felt light, but I was too eager mentally," Ding said of his third snatch attempt at 148kg.

The championships run through Nov. 8 in Ningbo. ■
