RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Brazil international midfielder Danilo has been ruled out of Botafogo's visit to Remo on Wednesday due to a thigh strain, the Rio de Janeiro club said.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury in a 3-0 away defeat to Internacional in Brazil's Serie A on Saturday.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Botafogo said Danilo would undergo treatment at its Lonier training complex in a bid to be fit for the November 4 home clash with Atletico Mineiro.
Danilo has made 64 appearances for Botafogo across all competitions since his arrival from Nottingham Forest in July 2025.
The injury is not expected to affect his availability for Brazil's friendlies against Japan and Singapore next month. ■
