Chinese shares close lower Tuesday

BEIJING, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 1.33 percent to 3,648.3 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 2.5 percent lower at 11,245.73 points. ■
