SINGAPORE, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Energy Market Authority (EMA) and the French Energy Regulatory Commission have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation on energy market regulation, regional interconnectivity and low-carbon technologies.

Signed on the sidelines of the Singapore International Energy Week, the agreement will facilitate cooperation on electricity and gas market regulation, drawing on France's experience in cross-border electricity interconnections and integrated European power markets, the duo said in a joint statement on Tuesday.

The partnership will include knowledge sharing, technical training, study visits, joint workshops and seminars, as well as high-level dialogues. Both regulators will also explore collaboration at regional and international platforms.

Chief Executive of EMA Puah Kok Keong said the agreement builds on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Singapore and France established in 2025. ■
