The ±800kV UHVDC transmission project completed the large-span stringing construction across the Yangtze River on Monday in the city of Wuhu, Anhui Province.

The project has a total length of 2,370 kilometers from northwest China's Gansu Province to east China's Zhejiang Province. Once operational, it will be able to transmit more than 36 billion kWh of electricity to Zhejiang Province annually. (Photo by Zheng Xianlie/Xinhua)
