RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva declared victory in the country's presidential runoff on Sunday night, saying that "this country is nobody's backyard."
Speaking in Sao Paulo, southern Brazil, Lula thanked the Brazilian people for their support in helping him overcome foreign interference in the election, stressing the need to strengthen regulation on digital platforms. ■
