PARIS, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Moh. Zaki Ubaidillah upset world champion Alex Lanier here on Saturday to reach the French Open final, denying an all-French men's singles title clash at the BWF Super 750 tournament.

The 19-year-old Indonesian won 21-16, 16-21, 21-17, weeks after helping Indonesia claim the Asian Games men's team gold. He will face home favorite Christo Popov, who beat China's Hu Zhe'an 21-14, 21-10 in the semifinals.

Hu, who entered the main draw as a replacement, became the tournament's surprise package by defeating higher-ranked opponents including world No. 10 Alwi Farhan.

In the women's singles, world number one An Se-young of South Korea beat Japan's Nozomi Okuhara 21-12, 21-19 to reach her third straight French Open final. An has won 48 consecutive matches and is chasing her 10th title this season.

India's Pusarla Venkata Sindhu edged Japan's Hina Akechi 21-10, 20-22, 21-16 to set up the final against An.

Malaysia guaranteed the men's doubles title after both pairs beat Indonesian opponents in the semifinals. Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin won 22-20, 21-9, while Man Wei Chong and Tee Kai Wun took their match 21-16, 21-15.

Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan of Malaysia beat Japan's Rin Iwanaga and Kie Nakanishi 21-17, 22-20 in the women's doubles semifinals. They will vie for the title against Japan's Yuki Fukushima and Mayu Matsumoto, who won 21-18, 21-15 against an Indonesian pair.

Top seeds Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping of China avenged their world championship final loss by beating France's Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue 19-21, 21-17, 21-19 in the mixed doubles semifinals.
