RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Venezuela will meet the Basque Country and Russia in friendlies next month, the Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF) said on Tuesday.
The Vinotinto will face the Basque national team in Bilbao on November 14 and Russia in Krasnodar three days later.
Venezuela manager Oswaldo Vizcarrondo has said he will use the team's remaining 2026 fixtures to prepare for South America's FIFA World Cup qualifiers, due to begin next September.
Venezuela is the only member of the South American football confederation CONMEBOL to have never qualified for the World Cup.
Vizcarrondo has led the team to two wins, two draws and three losses since replacing Fernando Batista last January. ■
