BEIJING, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted off west coast of northern Sumatra at 1629 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 3.67 degrees north latitude and 95.66 degrees east longitude. ■
