BEIJING, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- The 2026 Beijing Marathon & National Marathon Championships kicked off in Beijing, capital of China on Sunday. Olympic champion Tamirat Tola of Ethiopia won the 2026 Beijing Marathon in 2:03:10, cutting the previous course record by nearly four minutes. Another Ethiopian runner Anchinalu Dessie Genaneh retained her women's title in 2:20:36.
