WASHINGTON, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia was out of her post on Friday after just five days on the job, according to U.S. media reports.
U.S. President Donald Trump said he had advised her to reconsider serving in the position.
"I said to her, 'Honestly, if I were you, I'd reconsider,'" Trump told reporters at the White House. "Maybe it's not for her."
Zacharia took over as White House press secretary on Monday, succeeding Karoline Leavitt, and held her first briefing on Tuesday.
Over the past week, Zacharia has faced growing scrutiny over whether she actually passed the bar exam. ■
