NEW DELHI, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- At least three people were killed allegedly after consuming adulterated liquor in India's northeastern state of Nagaland, the state-run broadcaster All India Radio (AIR) said Saturday.

The deaths took place in Longphayimsen village of Mokokchung district, about 210 km north of Kohima, the capital city of Nagaland.

"Police said the exact cause of death is yet to be established and remains subject to medical and forensic confirmation," the report said.

AIR said the latest incident comes barely a month after a suspected adulterated liquor incident in the district claimed eight lives. ■
